Esta es mi última entrada, inicié este blog para un proyecto escolar y aunque no obtuve demasiadas entradas,me divertí mucho invetigando sobre mi banda favorita y compartir un poco de mi felicidad al escucharlos con aquellos que lo leyeron.

Este vídeo, al igual que muchos, lo encontré y lo quiero compartir con ustedes.
Ya he hablado de Pompeii en otras ocasiones , y ahora les traigo la misma canción pero con otra versión. 

Mi parte favorita del vídeo, (bueno son dos) son los violines y el toque del tambor.

Lo siguiente, para los que no sepan, los chicos han grabado varias canciones en sus en vivo en estudios, por ejemplo Pompeii también fue grabada con esta versión en el mismo estudio.

Desde la semana pasada, Dan, en su cuenta de Instagram, anunció que habían grabado un vídeo de Good Grief en vivo, y el jueves salió dicha canción.

Honestamente, me encanta oír como cantan en vivo, aunque nunca he ido a ningún concierto de ellos, pero he escuchado vídeos y adoro como se escuchan.

Les dejo el vídeo, no quedaran decepcionados, todo lo contrario, se oye hermoso.

La verdad no se si la siguiente información la sabían, pero yo no la sabía hasta que me puse a indagar en Internet, pero esta canción, tiene su vídeo musical (eso si lo sabía) pero lo que no sabía, es que Bastille tiene un vídeo cantándola Acapella. 

En caso de que no lo hayan visto, aquí les dejo el vídeo, estoy segura que quedaran igual de felices que yo cuando la oigan.

¿Qué ha dicho Bastille sobre la canción?

Han dicho que es la favorita de todos, especialmente en la parte un poco rara antes del coro. Dan, de igual, durante el iTunes Festival de 2016, dijo que la canción estaba dedicada a un artista que había fallecido ese año.

C´mon, Relax

Para quienes ya escucharon la canción, se han dado cuenta que en una parte se escucha que un hombre dice la frase anterior, dicha frase viene del filme italiano Cosmos: War of the Planets (1977), también se escucho algo de esta película en Send Them Off!

Esta frase se puede referir a dos personas en particular: 

 Del 15 de diciembre de 2015 al 18 de junio de 2016, el astronauta Tim Peake estuvo en el  espacio.

 O también es posible que se refieran a David Bowie, que murió el 10 de enero de este  año. La primera vez que la fama descubrió a David Bowie fue cuando su canción "Space  Odity" fue tocada en la llegada de regreso de la luna.

The Weight Of Living Pt. I es la canción escondida de la versión Bad Blood, y la número 16 en All This Bad Blood. 

Es una de mis canciones favoritas de ellos (digo una porque no se cual escoger), y a mi me causaba conflicto no saber que significa "albatross" (en la canción, sé que es un ave). 

La palabra "albatross", es usualmente usada como una metáfora para referirse a una carga psicologica que se ve como maldició. 

En una entrevista, Dan dijo que "Albatross" era como un problema que llevabas cargando.

En uno de mis días de ocio, me tope con este video de Bastille. Como sabemos, Dan es fan de la serie de televisión "Twin Peaks", y tienen una canción llamada "Laura Palmer", personaje al cua gira alrededor la serie.

En el video, el entrevitador cuyo nombre no se, les trae el dialogo de un fragmento de episodio. Honestamente lo encontre muy divertido. Aquí les dejo el video y juzguenlo ustedes mismos:

Bueno, este fue uno de los primeros avistamientos de Bastille después de mucho tiempo, fue lanzado el 2 de junio. En el video, se ve como una mujer de ojos verdes va cayendo desde un edificio y la gente, que es toda un multitud, la ve caer. (No se preocupen no cae al suelo). La duración de este es de 1:21, y la canción que acompaña el video es "Two Evils" que se encuentra en su nuevo álbum.

Esta canción es parte de su nuevo álbum Wild World, en una entrevista Dan dijo: 

"I mean, we’re not offering a solution, it’s just about that human reaction. That song is about the need to get out and completely escape, to fill your lungs with some fresh air because it can be depressing to hear all that crap, that hateful talk and lies"

En una entrevista con NME, Dan dijo que la canción estaba inspirada en el levantamiento de los políticos que abiertamente expresan opiniones discriminatorias.

Muchas de las letras de este álbum hablan sobre el mundo actual, y esa es una de ellas.

Aunque me gustaría que Bastille hubiese ganado todos los premios a los que estuvieron nominados, me alegra que hayan obtenido estos 4: 

1.- En el 2014, en los "Brit Awards", recibieron el premio por "British Breakthrough Act". 

2.- En los "JIMtv Jimmy Awards", ganaron "International Breakthrough".

3.- También en el 2014, durante los "MTVU Woodie Awards", obtuvieron el premio "Cover Woodie", con el cover de "We Can´t Stop" por Miley Cyrus.

4.- De igual manera, en los "Teen Choice Awards" en "Choice Rock Song" con su canción "Pompeii".

Esta vez en vez de 5, serán sólo 3 curiosidades. Aclaro: en la página original de la que saque la información vienen 5, pero ya se las he comentado.

1.- "Mamá" es la palabra:

Muchos se preguntan como es que realmente se reunieron, para Bastille resultó ser la mamá de Dan Smith. Después de terminar la universidad, Smith regresó a casa de su mamá. Un día su madre encontró un volante promocional de lecciones de batería. Ella le mostró el volante a Dan y le insistió para que fuera a las clases. El maestro resultó ser Chris "Woody" Wood, pronto se volvieron amigos y un año más tarde se formó Bastille.

2.- El gusto por un buen juego:

Después de haberse presentado, a los chicos de Bastille les gusta relajarse jugando un poco de cricket. Ellos traen su propio set de cricket y lo ponen ellos mismos, aparte de disfrutar el juego, les gusta jugar en los parques de los países que visitan para ver las miradas curiosas de la gente que jamás han visto algo por el estilo.

3.- No esperaban ser famosos: 

Muchoas artista esperan hacerse famosos en cuanto salen, perolos chicos de Bastille no contaban con ello, y en una entrevista dijeron que ellos esperaban ser una banda de indie cool que algunos escucharan de ellos o no.

En una entrevista a Bastille antes del Apple Music Festival preguntaron de todo y aquí están 5 cosas que no sabías de Bastille:

1.- El tema principal del álbum Wild World:

Dan: "The loose theme of the album was that the world can seem quite fucked up sometimes when you're watching the news - but that everyone's got to get up the next day and go to work - and that people, human relationships and friendships, stuff like that, are such nice positive things…[that being said] there are no worthy intentions with the record or anything, we see each song as quite different. There's a song about gangsters on the album and there's a song about Truman Capote's “In Cold Blood”. So they are all little stories in and of themselves, but that was just a theme that seemed to just keep cropping up, in and amongst of the rest. I don't know how escapable world events seem sometimes. It's not meant to be really dramatic and it's not a political record, it's not meant to have any one kind of message, we're just four idiots!"

En pocas palabras, Dan quizó decir que aunque el mjundo parezca un desastre, hay pequeñas cosas que lo hacen mejor. Tambien que el álbum no es ningún tipo de rebelión.

2.- Su canción favorita de Wild World:

Piensan que la canción más divertida que van a tocas en conciertos será Lethargy y Four Walls. 

3.- Como van a volver "a sus raíces":

Van a volver a tocar en los lugares en los que estuvieron en EU. Dan piensa que era cosa extraña al acabar el álbum antes, pero hay cosas que aun tendremos que esperar para oír. Woody dice que saltar de tocas en un pub a una arena es un gran reto pero que estará lleno de diversión. 

4.- El esperado tour en arenas:

Dan: será un gran reto pero queremos montar un gran show, somos un grupo pequeño pero queremos trabajar todos juntos para que sea divertido y creativo. 

5.- Sus habilidades secretas:

Will: Woody [drummer Chris Wood] is kind of the Dad of the group.

Kyle: Yes! Woody can change a car tyre. I think Dan might be able to, but I certainly can’t.

Dan: Well I would try!

Wild, Wild World 2017

Recientemente (bueno hace unas semanas), Dan publico en la cuenta de instagram @bastilledan, las fechas para su tour en el 2017. 

Anteriormente ya habían publicado parte del tour Wild Wild World, pero las fechas solamente se extendían hasta diciembre, y las que ya han puesto incluyen hasta diciembre del 2017. 

Entonces, ponte listo y si van a estar en tu ciudad, compralos lo antes posible.

El single fue el primero en hacerse publico de su nuevo disco "Wild World", aunque no la ponen mucho en el radio y nos tuvimos que esperar para que saliese el vídeo, también la pudimos encontrar en Spotify.

La letra (les dejo el link) habla de un funeral, y el vídeo, no pierde la clásica esencia de lo que es Bastille.

El pasado 30 de septiembre (21 días después del lanzamiento de "Wild World"), Bastille estrenó el vídeo de Send Them Off!

En el vídeo podemos ver como un muchacho es perseguido por una clase de monstruo y mientras huye se topa con Bastille en arias escenas. 
 
En caso de que no hayan visto el vídeo, se los recomiendo, pues tiene todos los elementos de un vídeo de Bastille.

 Todos hemos escuchado esta canción, honestamente es la primera canción que escuche de ellos y es por eso que empece a escucharlos. La letra obviamente habla de la erupción del Vesubio, que acabo enterrando a los habitantes de la ciudad.

Entonces, ¿qué significa la canción? Pues enuna entrevista Dan lo explico:

"It's a moment of reflection and introspection, but they're trapped in time so it's a moment that'll go on for an eternity," frontman Dan Smith explained to NME.

Dan Smith told The Daily Telegraph that he was imagining what the dead inhabitants might have to say to one another. "It is essentially about fear of stasis and boredom," he added. "Being quite a shy, self-conscious person, I was afraid my life might get stuck."

Smith explained the song's meaning to The Sun: "Pompeii is actually an imagined conversation between two charred corpses reflecting on the city."

He added: "But that's why I don't like explaining a lot of my songs literally as it sounds bonkers – a song about two corpses yet the crowd are happily dancing along!"

 Despite the song's subject matter, it gets an energetic reaction when performed live. "It's pretty funny to watch people drunkenly jump around to it at festivals," Dan Smith told Rolling Stone.

Smith told NME that, as of 2013, he's never been to Pompeii, but the band was looking forward to visiting the Pompeii exhibit at the British Museum in Camden, England, where "they have an ashy frozen dog corpse, which I'm looking forward to. And a loaf of bread, a real ancient loaf of Roman bread."
